…in which The Teen finally gets her blanket.
Having a hard time giving this up!
I finally found a way to get The Teen off my back about being cold. When the teen was five balls small (meaning it took five ball of yarn to finish her projects) I would whip up something for her in a few days, often finishing late into the night so it could be done.
Now time + plus boredom = no FO.
I picked up a crochet hook and attempted a granny square. I started my crafting hobby crocheting, but for the life of me, I could not remember how to make a granny square. I threw the project down in frustration, then I found some YouTube videos, but it seemed like some exotic foreign language.
It took Sleeping Beauty and her bass ackwards explanation for the light to finally flicker, then explode into my mind.
The Patchwork Blanket will get finished, eventually, but for now, I have her gray and burgundy throw for those TV nights (when she FINALLY gets off of punishment) and when she becomes one of scores of unaccompanied minors on her trip to Wisconsin. She has a small, but love filled item to cuddle under.
