Dinner and a movie just got a little more convenient.
The Mister and I attended a soft opening at the freshly renovated AMC theater. When we checked in to get our tickets, we were given the option of where to sit, so that takes away the guess work of picking the best seat for maximum viewing pleasure. The seats were spacious and very comfortable, with a small table for placing the food as well as a side console that eld condiments.
Once seated, a friendly server quickly came over to explain the menu and take drink orders. The menu was one that was comparable to the type of food that could be found in a chain restaurant, with some healthy options for those conscious about caloric intake.
Our food was delivered just as the opening credits of the movie begin. Our server was discreet and mindful of the patrons around us.
When the theater officially opens, there will be an option for drinks from the bar.
When the theater officially opens this Friday, patrons will have two options. For those who are twenty one and over, there are “Cinema Suites”, which feature oversized recliners. Six screens will have the “Fork and Screen” feature which allows families as long as all patrons under 18 are accompanied by an adult.
AMC Painter’s Crossing 9 is located at 112 Wilmington Pike in West Chester. For the Showtime Hotline, call 888-AMC-4FUN.
I admit I was skeptical about taking such a long trip just for a movie. A trip to West Chester is about an hour from our home and we did pass two other theaters on the way. But the trip wasn’t just for the movie. It was the experience of having dinner and a movie in one convenient place.
