Bitterness: The Emotional Cancer

June 18, 2009

Ever notice that when something or someone makes you angry that you go through a cycle of emotions that if unchecked leaves you feeling like your insides are a gripped in a vice?
Once anger has taken over, joy and peace become feelings of the past.

Confess anger

Identify nature and source.

Purpose in your heart to deal with it.

Take a time out!

Responsible to respond in a proper fashion You are a child of God.

Quick to hear, slow to speak

Sometimes responding to anger is good. gets you moving.

Normally I shy away from televangelist. They always seem to preach for five minutes then sell for Twenty. Charles Stanley is the exception. I like him because he directs you to bibke and feels like the right addition to what the Good Reverend Doctor teaches.

Recently Dr Stanley taught a lesson on anger and forgives He taught a series on Anger and Forgiveness, two things I KNEW i had under control.

Silly rabbit, trix are for kids!

Acknowledge God’s total forgiveness.

Willing to confess my actions and attitudes.

Realize and acknowledge that bitterness is a sin.

Ask for forgiveness specifically for what is said, done, and attitude.

It’s difficult to forgive

By act of will and power of the holy spirit I lay down this burden. Not feelings cuz the mind is saying to whip ass. But through faith, and the power of God, it can be done.

We defend and rationalize every reason to hold onto bitterness and anger, but it seeps through the mind to the body.

Being the bigger person will set others free. Some will never say they are sorry. They will never feel the hurt YOU felt.

Say to an empty chair, a letter, a mirror what you want to say. You are free to say what you need to say.

You may have to do it many times before you are actually delivered.

Set yourself FREE.

Once it is said, you claim by faith that this is the end.

LET IT GO

No static in your heart, not feeling the same way.

Not mouth but emotion and feeling.

Set yourself free!

When you really have forgiven, you may wonder why they did it. It becomes a teaching message from the Lord about HIS grace and love to you.
