Normally, I dread seeing my mailman. Not because of what he brings, but because he hasn’t been on vacation in AGES so I don’t get to see his hunky replacement (hiyo!*).
Old Faithful came today but I wasn’t mad. He delivered a pleasant surprise:

A while back, a knitter from Canada asked if someone would send some stamps so that she could participate in the mini sock swap here in the states. I sent her some stamps, just happy to help. Today I received a thank you in the form of this little sock!
Boom Baby!
The Boy was stoked to see a Canadian postmark since his class is studying geography. Also, the Mister has a cousin who lives in Canada and this opened some questions about the country up north.

Last benefit:
I finally have a use for the bits of sock yarn (with Fat Mittens as the backdrop!) that I have stuffed into my knitting corner. Mini socks for all!
