So it begins…

It’s something about this almost last week of January. My eyes glaze over, my heart rate increases, and all of my math is in increments of $3.50.
The Teen and I were honored to be a part of this year’s cookie kick off. For a few hours we braved the nippy Philadelphia air to reintroduce the public to Thin Mints, Lemonades, and the rest of the New Years Resolution breakers.
We were also able to meet the new CEO of the Girl Scouts of South Eastern PA, Natalye Paquin, Esq. She was a very nice woman who gave us a hug and an enthusiastic thank you for helping out.
The cookies we sold today went to Girls Behind Bars, a troop that works to allow scouts who have incarcerated mothers participate in the scouting program. For such a worthy cause, I didn’t mind this:
This year, the Teen and I have decided to go for the gusto and sell 3000 boxes. That’s a lot of darn cookies!I’m hopeful the snow won’t hurt me like last year and that with the Mister pitching in I don’t experience late February burn out.
If I need inspiration, I can always watch The Boondocks Fundraiser Episode:

Or my own recurring dream:
