The Teen and The Boy have gotten more savvy when it comes to disguised vegetables.
Cooked carrots get the boot because they are “mushy” and per The Teen taste like “baby food.”
The recipe I found was from The Hungry Mouse was a simple one and due to the pictures posted, visually appealing. Alas, the kids were not fooled. The minute they saw Kosher salt, they KNEW something was up.
The Mister and I enjoyed them:
|I used a vegetable scraper to remove the skin. Also note the cucumber for a side salad.|
|Seasoned and onions added for onion rings. Sweet Vidalia are the best for onion rings.|
|The offending Kosher Salt. I used a rach dip. Quite tasty.|
