It started with a Tweet (I *really* need to stay off of Twitter! ), then an invitation via Facebook for the Starbucks fall event of limited time pumpkin drinks. Not one to really stray from what I know, I was hesitant to try something new. My experience with fall foods include Queenie’s horrific attempt at Sweet Potato Pie. It tasted like burnt meat.
Worn down by constant advertising, I used a giftcard from The Boy to test the Pumpkin Spice Latte. The rest is liquid history.
Now I’m jonesing for anything pumpkin. Which leads me to the kitchen. When I’m in the kitchen, I find it therapeutic and a sign that I’m on a path of wellness. My usual repertoire of chocolate chip cookies and banana bread now include pumpkin spice bread.
The house smells wonderful! I’m annoyed with myself for ignoring pumpkin all these years!
