Happy to have been able to participate in a race close to home, I found myself paying $25.00 to race with the big dogs (woof, woof!)
Rain, mud, vision impairment aside, I ran a respectable, non training 48:17 today.

I KNOW I need to quit smoking, lay off the excess chocolate, and substitute fruits and veggies for the fried foods I love.
ran jogged walked through a gruelling rain soaked course, I realised that I was WAYYYY out of my league! But as Knittylawyer optimistically pointed out I did it!
And did it I did!
Buoyed by a despicable time, and having this insatiable need to be the best, The Best (The Boy is on a Karate Kid ad nauseum repeat kick) I know I can A) run through mud, B) survive the rain, C) and get off my rusty dusty to just do it.
Yeadon has a run in a few weeks. My goal is to shave a minute off each mile.
See you there?
