Tangled Tuesday
Using some donated yarn, I decided to cast on for one last project for 2013. Keeping my 2014 word in mind, I let go of the idea that this scarf needed to be perfect and just enjoyed the feeling of the yarn and needles in my hands.
I used a ladder yarn:
And a Glitter Ribbon yarn:
My needles were size 8.
Holding the yarns together, I cast on three stitches. I then followed a pattern of:
Knit, Turn
Knit 1, Increase, Knit 3, Increase 1, Turn
Knit.
Follow this until 25 stitches are on the needle. Then decrease, following this: Knit2Tog, knit across, Knit2Tog until you are back to your original 3 stitches. Increase and decrease for the length desired (in my case it was until I ran out of yarn).
My caution when working with this yarn is that it gets slippery and tangled QUICK.
I used tape and a rubber band to keep the yarn in control, and then my trusty Disney Parks bag.
I haven’t decided on my next project. I am joining the ladies of Sisters Interacting Through Stitches for the Sixth Martin Luther King Day Crafting Project.
