Playing the CDs while I danced in my living room was a great way to forget my illness last week. I’m partial to Awesome Mix Vol 1. In Guardians of the Galaxy, the main character plays a mix tape on his Walkman (yes kids, there were machines BEFORE iPods!) which was given to him by his late mother. The CD has the familiar cassette tape on the cover, capturing the feel of this part of the movie. Of course, I have belted out “Let it Go!” from Frozen. I love the empowering message. My sister hosted a mini dance ‘club’ at her library with the Disney Junior DJ Shuffle 2. Stephen Sondheim can never go wrong, making Into The Woods one of my new favorites!
