My new routine is to hit the track between 6:30 and 7:00 AM. Yeah, for an undercover Thick and Lazy Chick, this is a bit ambitious.
Normally I wolf down some coffee, suck down a yogurt, grab my water and go.
Today I was derailed.
I couldn’t find my Nike insert that allows me to track what I did.
Eventually when I found it, the sensor didn’t read the time I spent at the track.
Which leads me to ponder:
If a run is done without a Nike+, Does it Still Count?
Like my relentless Twittering and Status updates on Facebook, I feel a need to let the world or at least my 150+ friends know that I am cooking, knitting, or running. With my Nike+ captured runs, I know have tangible proof that I DID it. Have we come to a time where our words are no longer the gold they should be?
As if it isn’t bad enough that I want to please people I hardly ever see, I also try to please my little mini. She’s the motivating animated me to the left of my postings. When I run, she’s cheering a sister on, when I skip more than two days, she’s there, forlornly playing a handheld game wishing she was running.
Truth be told, I kind of hate her.
All is well in Thick Chickdom today.
And you can see it here.
