The Good Reverend Doctor was on fire today!!!
I love when service is rocking and rolling. No one had the Holy Ghost though. I was a little disappointed. That’s one of the benefits about being Pentacostal.
He spoke about how Jesus woke Lazarus from the grave. When he called Lazarus from the grave, he told him to take off his grave clothes to walk with Jesus. Lazarus then jumped or hopped to Jesus due to his body being wrapped in the tradition of the day.
When we accept Jesus as our personal savior, we run to him, then stumble and sometimes fall. The reason we fall is because we still have our grave clothes on. We forget to shed our past and get shackled to our past.
His one point: there are times when we have to just come out. We have to understand that we have been stuck by our past mistakes, words, actions, deeds. Therefore, we get the idea that when Jesus calls my name, he turns the periods (the things that hold us back) into commas.
So that means I don’t have my college education, but Jesus will provide an opportunity to get me the career I enjoy.
Or I may suffer from depression today, but Jesus is going to send a ray of sunshine in my life tomorrow.
Listen for Jesus to call your name. Then let your period turn into a comma.
