My introduction to Adele was cleaning the Teen’s room. There was LAdy Gaga crooning abut her Poker Face, then the radio played the upbeat Right As Rain.
Hold the phone!
This song had me racing to my computer to see if I had downloaded this artist in one of my “I’m open to all genre phases.”
I had!
Adele is the English singer who pours her heart out in verse. The fisr album, 19, chronicled her relationship with a guy. A mature often raw album, I had no expectations for a follow up. Remember Duffy? Not too many people do.
However, 21 roured on the scene, bringing fresh pain and solidifying this woman on my playlist.
The sixteen year old in me plays “Someone Like Me” over and over. This song captures the hurt, heartbreak, and pain that comes when a relationship breaks and the other party moves on.
Don’t sleep on this talent!
