Schools are cancelled, roads are closed. Cue up the Netflix queue – it’s a SNOW DAY!
To end January, Mother Nature is supposed to blast the East Coast with a mix that could be two inches to 14 inches depending on the news outlet. This month on Netflix, it’s all about the four-legged friends!
For the Little ones, some flicks to cue are:
1. Pet Party
2. Clifford’s Puppy Days
3. Littlest Pet Shop
4. The Adventures of Milo and Otis
5. Snow Buddies
6. Sabrina, The Animated Series
My favorite is The Adventures of Milo and Otis even if my aunt pointed out that different animals were used to complete filming. Dudley Moore is a hoot relaying the antics of a “curious kitten and a pug nosed pup!”
Even if *I* can admit that I like Milo and Otis, my Tween and Teen would never admit to any “kid” movies. For them, there’s a great choice of movies to check out:
Jumanji is a staple in our house! The Mister and I passed on our super competitiveness to the kids, and games nights tend to get a little vicious. Jumanji is the ULTIMATE game. “In the jungle you must wait, until the dice read five or eight!”
1. The Adventures of Puss in Boots
2. Annie
3. Step Dogs
4. Jumanji
5. Hachi: A Dog’s Tale
6. Air Bud
7. Monkey Trouble
For Adult Only time, there’s some new to streaming shows as well as the highly controversial The Interview. While watching any of these movies, I’ll have a cup of coffee, my warmest blanket and this super easy baby booties pattern to work on as I lose myself in a marathon of TV viewing!
My kids would of loved these movies, what a fun filled night of watching a few movies, so cute! Air Bud was really cute!
My kids and my husband enjoy Netflix. I’m more a Hulu+ girl. Great shows!
Great way to spend a snow day. Good movies.
I love animal movies- thanks for sharing!
I love to watch animal movies. They are too cute!
I am part of the #streamteam as well and love that I can binge watch my fav shows. So looking forward to some of the new stuff coming out in Feb.
We had one snow day here in Houston maybe 5 years ago. It was just slush, but it was a big deal for us. Lol. That was actually my first and only time seeing snow in person
Cheers for Milo and Otis – I love them all, Clifford too!!
I don’t have cable anymore and haven’t for years. Netflix , Hulu Plus and Crackle are my main sources for entertainment.
I’ve never seen Jumanji. I know that’s awful to admit!! People love it, so I’ve got it on my list of ‘somedays.’ 🙂
My kids love Netflix. It’s so worth the $7!
Looks like so much to choose from,We do not use Netflix although I have said we will try it out one day.
I would like to watch Puss in Boots for our next snow day. What a great idea!
Netflix is great! I love being able to binge watch some of my favorite shows.
There a few movies out I want to see. Just haven’t had the time to watch them.
I love spending a cold day snuggled on the couch watching Netflix. I am currently watching The Tomorrow People.
We love all these movies. Hachi though was by far my most favorite! Made me cry and cry! So good!
I’ve always wanted to see Hachi! I saw the previews but never got to watch!
I’m looking forward to watching Hachi. I’ve watched every season of Friends too!
Hooray for Clifford and Puss in Boots! We love them in our house.
Sounds like a perfect snow day to me! I love a cozy day all cuddled up with some Netflix!
You mentioned Snow Day. There is a movie called Snow Day that is perfect for kids and grown ups.
I’ve always loved Puss in Boots. I need to check out the Netflix Adventures of Puss in Boots!
We love Jumanji! the kiddo just discovered the Littlest Pet Shop series and while he says that their big eyes freak him out, he likes that they have lots of animals.
I’ve been watching Friends non-stop since January 1st! Good choice 🙂
My son loves several animal movies on Netflix. We watch them often – even when there isn’t snow on the ground.
SO fun! Netflix is the perfect thing for a snow day! I love the variety and that it’s so easy to watch on every device.
Milo and Otis. Oh man, that was my favorite movie ever when I was younger. It’s still one of my faves. You can’t beat a movie based around critters.
We are going to watch a few movies on Netflix later. The kids are dying to go out and play, so we will warm up with a movie or two when they get back in.
