This post is brought to you as part of the Netflix Stream Team. All opinions are deliciously my own!
Bob’s Burgers is the Emmy Award TV show and sleeper hit. Netflix has all five seasons available now – go and get you some! The show has spawned a fun cookbook, the blog that inspired the cookbook, and sold out shows around the country. Bob’s Burgers is on constant play in my house.
The show centers around the family of Bob and Linda Belcher. Supported by kooky characters and crazy adventures, the Belchers continue to cook specialty burgers while raising a family.
Boy crazy Tina is the oldest Baby Belcher. She’s awkward in a way that speaks to my inner 13 year old. Gene is the Dutch Oven loving, musical middle child. Younger daughter Louise is my favorite. I knew I loved her when I she scoffed that the live action show Pattycake was a “must miss” and sealed my adoration when she slapped Linda, telling her to get it together because she had “two children and a Louise” to raise.
I found my spirit animal in her rabbit clad character.
Here’s six ways Bob’s Burgers nailed the sibling dynamic:
Louise and Gene Blackmail Tina
Season 2, Episode 8 “Bad Tina”
Louise wants to support Gene standing up to his bully but keeps it real
Season 1, Episode 9 “Spaghetti & Western Meatballs”
Working together to ditch school under the guise of helping Bob get Linda a better Valentine’s Day Gift
Season 3, Episode 13 “My Fuzzy Valentine”
Working together to get rich
Season 2, Episode 1 “The Belchies”
Season 4, Episode 18 “Ambergris”
Making sure Gene’s crush passes his sisters’ standards.
Season 3, Episode 8 “The Unbearable Like-Likeness of Gene”
Robbing a train for chocolate
Season 4, Episode 15 “The Kids Rob a Train”
Catch the first five seasons of Bob’s Burgers anytime on Netflix!
