I’ve culled some suggestions from my Knitting Group to help ease the pain I have had in my wrist. Until I get to my appointment, I plan to try the following:
1. Stop the activity that causes pain.
This means no knitting, no Mario Kart, no DownDogs, no (gasp) Crackberry. This gives me a chance to catch up on my reading. (Trying to find the positive in it all!)2. Purchase inexpensive stretch nylon fingerless gloves. (DONE)
There is a Velcro wrap that goes around the wrist, yet being fingerless still
allow one to knit.3. Use Asper Cream.
4. A Pseudo Homeopathic solution:
A. Drink Concord grape juice daily, it seems to keep the joints loose.
B. Soak hands and arms in Dr. Scholl’s foot soak.
C. Use herbal remedies, found in drugstores, GNC, etc.5. Stretching.
Use exercises to work the wrist. This is ironic because I keep hearing that yoga helps, but the poses I practice seem to hurt my hand more. Go figure.
Keep the conversation going. Comments welcomed!
