Happy Anniversary, Happy Anniversary, Happy Anniversary, HAAAAAAAAAAAAAPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!
It has been one month since I started to read the Bible daily. It’s been a little challenge. There are days when I think that I don’t have enough time, and can do it later. As if.
The Good Reverend Doctor always says that you can tell when someone hasn’t been spending time with God, and I am sho nuff proof of that. The days I don’t have ‘time’ are the days I make silly gaffs, goofy decisions, and do things I regret. When I spend time in the Word, I feel grounded, centered and that awesome feeling of the Holy Ghost filling my spirit.
In the Autobiography of Malcolm X, Malcolm was given a Holy book by his brother and sister who told him that to read it would set him free. Reading the Quaran did not physically free him, but it mentally freed him. That’s what reading the Bible daily does for me. I am free from holding on to grudges, free from harboring hate, free from most sin (I’m still human).
It’s never to late to begin this habit. Just jump in and read. It’s a better alternative to trash TV and the best twenty minutes of the day.
Keep the conversation going. Comments welcomed!
