Mark your calendars: the elected officials of Pennsylvania return to work on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Below is the schedule for both the Senate and the House.
You may be asking “Why should I care?” You should care because these are the people selected last November to represent our interest in the state of Pennsylvania.
“Okay?”
If you tweeted, shared, screenshot, or had to endure a conversation about the state of America in the past two months, you want to keep abreast of how the people picked to represent you do their job. For example, if your candidate of choice was pro-choice, you want to make sure he or she remains pro-choice in their actions.
Both the Senate and the House will reconvene on Tuesday January 3, 2017 at noon. Not everyone is a political junkie. If you are like the rest of the people in Upper Darby, you are having a hard time adjusting to the return of work after the holidays. Do not fret. Countable has an awesome mobile app and widget to track your representative. Simply enter your zip code and you will know WHO is representing you and WHAT they are up to. For your convenience, the widget is both in this post and to the right of this post.
No matter how you voted, it is important that you continue to stay up to date with your local legislators.
Keep the conversation going. Comments welcomed!
