My sister reminded me of crochet group this past Saturday. I hemmed and hawed, and decided that I would go if only to get some mojo to start working on possible Christmas gifts (HAHAHA!).
The Teen has been hinting that her visit for Thanksgiving includes taking the cowl I made last year:
And since I was rushing I forgot my sock. Poor, poor sock. I did manage to get my own Gap-Tastic Cowl out of hibernation and while laughing, talking and attempting to liberate a crocheted garment I could wear under my coat for door to door managed to work my way through a skein of yarn.
For those who are new readers, the Gap-Tastic Shawl is deceptively easy to make. With large needles, cast on 79 stitches, join the yarn for a circle, and Knit 1, Purl 1 around until the desired width is reached. I use Wool-Ease® Chunky Yarn from Lion Brand. This yarn knits quick, is soft for the wearer, and is gentle on my hands.
I also managed to learn how to make my knitting POP by adding beads.
What’s on your needles (or hooks)?
