My grandmother hated Larry Hagman in I Dream of Jeanie, saying he was too goofy. She preferred him as JR Ewing in Dallas. She used to call him “sharp” and “cool.”
As I get older, I agree with her preference. Watching Michael Keaton as Batman is not as satisfying as Christian Bale’s portrayal of the Dark Knight. The same with James Bond. I enjoy Sean Connery’s turn as 007, but he doesn’t smolder across the screen like Daniel Craig during his three turns as Bond.
Skyfall doesn’t disappoint. Even my sister, who claims James Bond is just a fancy cop, found Skyfall to be entertaining and a pretty good flick.
