Some things I need to get off my chest:
1. I cannot do Kitchener’s Stitch and may cheat by asking a more seasoned knitter to help me out. The KS I DID do looks like a mangled mess.
2. I know that I had to stop knitting because life got in the way, and well, I had to sleep. I am in awe of those who have killed already. I refuse to believe they cheated.
3. I have SSS.
For those not in the know, SSS is second sock syndrome. You have that sense of accomplishment that you finished something, and then there’s that other sock that needs to be knit. Normally I knit for me and the kids, and I just cast on and knit a totally different pattern. Not in Sock Wars. The sock needs to follow the same pattern and match.
VERY BIG SIGH

I’m pleased that I finished my first sock over the weekend, and cast on for the second sock. I was also pleased that the biggest thing in today’s mail was an invitation to summer classes at the community college. Despite a reprieve, I can’t get started on this second sock!

Dagnabbit!

Okay, I have a fresh pot of coffee brewing, a new kick ass play list I created on my iPod, and time before the Boy and the Teen come barreling into the house.
Deep breath:
In she goes!
