This past Saturday, my sister and I joined the ladies of the Wynnefield Library Crochet group to craft blankets for a day of service.
This activity has been a mainstay for at least five years.
This year we worked on blankets that will be given to both women in shelters and also veterans.
I loved sitting and chatting with the other ladies! My knitting is usually an activity to pass the time: waiting for one of the children to finish a sport, home and school meetings, Bible study, selling cookies.
It was a delight to discuss technique, marvel over other’s finished objects and talk trash to the ladies about who is a better crafter: my sister or me. (I win THAT battle hands down!).
Next month we’re doing a feature for Vetereans.
I look forward to casting on and gabbing away.
