The Harry Potter scarf for Dewey Decimal Man is finished and sent. Now it’s a waiting game for the US Postal Service to get it to him.
In my haste to get it around his neck (and rescue it from the covetous hands of The Teen) I sent it without taking a photo. I know, I know…VERY BAD knitter.
After the scarf was done, I was itching for the feeling that had come over me as I whipped out the scarf. Despite some stiffness in my fingers, the scarf seemed to have transcended me to a quiet place. I watched past seasons of Dexter and thought good things about the scarf and the person receiving the item.
My sister told me about a new shop opening in Manayunk and we made the trek to the grand opening.
Hidden River Yarn is a charming shop on bustling Main Street.

I fell in love with this project:

and spent the weekend whipping out these fingerless gloves. These will go well during cookie season when the wind is cold and the sales are jumping.

I loved knitting this pattern. The weekend was spent working this project and gaining some peace a I knit.

I have a renewed quiet place to go when life is just too much.
On the needles: yoga socks.
