The Election Day Cover is cooling.
It morphed from pink to red to navy blue. It’s now a mass of dropped stitches in the bottom of my purse, waiting for the Fall TV line up (Pan Am might be the choice) for me to dig in.
Not to say knitting has stopped although for a while I couldn’t find anything that excited me. Also since my self imposed yarn ban, I haven’t had anything to inspire me.
Cue The Boy. He’s discovered the joys of reading via The Harry Potter series. Any given day, he can be found attempting to snip hair from the family to make Polyjuice Potion*, yelling “Accio!**” at Fat Mittens, or listening for the umpteenth blank-blank time to The Order of the Phoenix*** on CD.
Couple that with Sleeping Beauty and her friend, Dewey Decimal Man. Dewey Decimal Man wants a Gryffindor scarf, cuz let’s face it….Harry Potter is kinda cool. Sleeping Beauty hooks**** and it doesn’t have quite the look of two sticks and strings.
|See that darn contact paper…Grr!|
The scarf so far is relaxing, considering I spent a better part of yesterday looking for contact paper to cover a book*****, coming home frazzled and feeling some type of way about more organized back to school shoppers. The yarn I choose knits kind of quick, and I think this will be done before the deadline of October 1. SB is going to see Dewey Decimal Man at a
nerd library convention then.

*****I’m convinced that contact paper is made to torture parents.
