I really wanted to write a DH recap in depth, but American Idol started this week.
TGFDVR (Thank God for DVR)
I love Simon and adore the audition shows, but since this is a DH recap, I just wanted to point out these things:
What’s up with the hidden racism on Desperate Housewives? Why did the BIG BLACK MAN have to show Gabby how to parent her kids? Juanita needed to have her ass whipped on GP alone when Gabby threw her back out. But Gabby was a fool to try to drag her big behind in the first place. I still ask “What the bloop are they feeding Juanita?” Was Blind Carlos responsible for her meals, thinking he was feeding Celia (is that the other kid’s name?).
Bree has emasculated Orson (Blind Carlos saw that), so she should have shut the eff up and ate his steak. Do you know how many time I ate the Mister’s Cheese Bombs and smiled, feeling my stomach bubble with each bite?
The little date exercise Edie did with Susan was cute, but really…Susan and Edie as buddies? Edie strikes me as the chick who doesn’t like ‘females’ and throws back beer with the boys. Oh yes, she has the requisite fat girlfriend as a confidant.
Lynette is a sneaky beyotch. I still can relate to her. Bad ass kids, a husband that makes you go hmmm, a tumultuous relationship with her mother (I still love you, Queenie!). Lynette could be me if you add locs and thirty plus pounds. Oh, no she couldn’t. Neither the Teen nor the Boy would have messed with my money by running away. Yes I know that’s material goods, but HELLO? Four kids and a house in a cul de sac. Bring your *ss home, ASAP.
Why waste Dana Delaney for a Mike/Dave arc. Dana, hit HBO, TNT, or Showtime. They seem to believe in females (Holly Hunter, Kyra Sedgewick).
I still loathe Gabby. Why does Carlos have to work PLUS raise their kids? What good is Gabby? An aside: she knows her husband can see her, but still dresses like she’s at the Saturday Cow Town swap meet.
Today will be the 100Th episode. I should have found a state store open on a Sunday to pop some champagne and watch to my heart’s delight.
