I’m excited for 2013. It feels optimistic, abundant, and ever so hopeful. I haven’t set any resolutions just yet, and probably won’t. I’ll forget about them by MLK day anyway.

I found this lovely quote on Facebook and think it’s a really nice idea. A gentle reminder that what doesn’t get started, won’t get finished. I feel like 2013 is my year. Is is because I will hit the big Four Oh? Probably. It may just be the time to get off my rusty dusty and Just Do It!

The Fiscal Cliff
I keep seeing all of these lawmakers congratulating each other about solving the Fiscal Cliff.
Sniff, sniff…I smell bull…
See, if voters paid attention to WHO (the person) they were voting for and not WHAT (the party) and actually MADE our elected officials do their job…
sigh
I can’t…not yet anyway. I’m still on my 2013 optimism high to talk politics. I’m going to let the Senate cook do my talking:
“these people are ruining my damn holiday. I don’t understand how grown people can’t figure out how to get along” – one of the senate cooks

Senate cooks aside, Twitter has been…boring.

I enjoy most of my followers. I have culled the ones who I didn’t engage with or who spammed me with a bunch of links (yeah, yeah: pot meet kettle!), and I still enjoy watching TV with fellow Tweeters. But, I’m bored by some of the people I follow. It seems at some point I begin to follow people who RT the same links, favorite the same tweets, or talk the same talk. I need some fresh folks to follow. Leave your twitter in the comments, please.
