What I’m not feeling is the daily messages from both Moveon.org and the Campaign For Change that, for a small donation, I can receive a part of history.
The key chains, I was digging. Who wouldn’t like a tacit reminder every time they close their door about the change and progressive movement that took place that rainy, damp night in November?
The Boy wanted a baseball cap and I felt compelled to give in because I don’t think a kid should be touting a cap about Bud Light (Nascar leftover).
The Teen is fond of buttons and stickers. We have plenty of the red and white circles in the house and the image of Obama is almost as prevalent as the yarn that covers much of my couch.
This latest offering has me thinking shenanigans. It feels like the PE has his own QVC channel and I can get mine for a mere $25.00 donation*.
Everyone is on the bandwagon! Do I really need a commemerative Black Enterprise Magazine?
While I admire how Barack ran his campaign and laud his message, enough with the trinkets! Don’t cheapen the victory with a scarf, yet another T-shirt, or a jacket.
What’s next? His and her skivvies?
