Muscle Eats Fat, I Eat Chocolate
Today I dusted off one of the DVDs from The Lotte Berk Method. I’m not sure if it is the increased physical activity or that this program is responsible, but I felt my hamstring muscle today!
That said…
Yesterday Laila and Sugar Ray committed DVD treason with effed up cuing. Today Barbara committed the faux pas of gasping for air and sounding super bubbly. Am I in a funky mood or was Barbara really being insincere about the work we were doing?
This isn’t a sweat tape, more or a toning one. The workout incorporates moves from Pilates, yoga, and ballet to offer a full body tone.
The workout begins with a warm up, then moves into upper body weight work. Shout out to my chiropractor who showed me the ‘girdle’ method to strengthen my core. This move is used to tone the lower body while shaping the upper body.
Move on to leg work. A chair is used for balance and the hips, thighs and calves are worked out. My legs felt the burn.
Last was knee dancing. This is where I need to kvetch. There are no modifications for anyone with knee problems. My knees creaked and croaked. There was little direction other than move around and ‘Do it!’ Fat Mittens and Midnight even joined in the fun!
The claim is that in 10 days you will feel a difference in 20 you will see a difference. I don’t know if my old bones can last that long.
For the moment, this is a fence DVD.
